PERFECT-LINK UNIVERSAL ADHESIVE
Perfect-Link Universal Adhesive is a light-cured dental adhesive that can be applied in a single step. It combines the functions of etchant, primer, and adhesive in one bottle and is suitable for both total-etch and self-etch techniques.
Main Composition
HEMA, Bis-GMA, Solvent, Silica.
Specification
5 ml/bottle
Indications
● Bonding of composite resin for direct restorations to dentin and enamel.
● Bonding of indirect restorations to dentin and enamel (metal/alloy,
porcelain-fused-to-metal, all-ceramic restorations, porcelain, amalgam,
composite resin materials).
● Dentin desensitization.
Instructions for Use
1. Preparation:
1.1 Apply rubber dam or cotton rolls for isolation.
1.2 Clean the tooth surface with an oil-free polishing paste.
1.3 Prepare the cavity according to standard composite filling principles.
1.4 For deep cavities near the pulp, apply a liner/base (such as calcium hydroxide or glass ionomer). Note: The liner should only cover the deep
dentin close to the pulp, leaving sufficient dentin surface for bonding.
2. Self-Etch Technique:
The product has self-etch capability, eliminating the need for separate etching, reducing clinical time, and minimizing postoperative sensitivity.
Do not use phosphoric acid etching because it may reduce bonding strength to some materials (e.g., zirconia, alumina, metals). Apply Perfect-Link Universal Adhesive directly. No additional pretreatment agents are needed.
3. Total-Etch Technique:
Use a standard 35% phosphoric acid etchant. Etch cut and uncut tooth structures (enamel and dentin) for 15 seconds.
Rinse thoroughly with water, then dry using an oil- and moisture-free air syringe or cotton rolls. Do not overdry dentin.
4. Application of Universal Adhesive:
4.1 Use a disposable microbrush to apply Perfect-Link Universal Adhesive to all cavity walls. Protect oral mucosa and avoid contact with adhesive.
4.2 If necessary, apply a second layer. Wait 15 seconds, then gently air dry for 2–5 seconds until adhesive stops flowing and solvent fully evaporates.
4.3 If the cavity walls do not appear glossy, apply another layer of adhesive.
4.4 Light cure for 20 seconds with a standard curing light.
Continue following the manufacturer’s instructions for the chosen restorative material.
4.4.1 For composite resin direct restorations:
Follow the composite resin manufacturer’s instructions and proceed with incremental filling.
4.4.2 For indirect restorations (metal/alloy, porcelain-fused-to-metal, all-ceramic, porcelain, amalgam, composite):
If necessary, sandblast the bonding surface of the indirect restoration.
For ceramic restorations, grind away the glaze layer within 1 mm from the bonding margin.
Rinse thoroughly and dry with oil- and moisture-free air or cotton.
Do not use phosphoric acid etching on zirconia, alumina, or metals, as it may impair bonding.
Apply Perfect-Link Universal Adhesive directly. No additional pretreatment agents required.
For dentin desensitization:
Clean root surface (e.g., with polishing paste or air-abrasion powder).
Rinse thoroughly, dry as above, then apply Perfect-Link Universal Adhesive.
Contraindications
Do not use in patients allergic to methacrylate resins.
