Description

EVER X-FLOW® LumiGloss Light-curing Dental Glaze is designed for extraoral surface glazing of permanent and temporary crowns to produce a smooth, glossy surface coating. It is intended for use by trained dental professionals and dental technicians within the specified indications.

Extraoral Crown Glazing

Apply LumiGloss after the restoration has completed the forming, cleaning, post-curing and finishing procedures appropriate to its manufacturing method. Complete all occlusal, proximal, marginal and contour adjustments before glazing.

LumiGloss is not intended for direct application to natural teeth. Uncured material must not contact the gingiva, mucosa or other oral tissues.

Application Workflow

  1. Prepare the surface: Ensure that the surface is clean, dry and free of dust, grease, polishing compound and other contaminants.

  2. Apply a thin coat: Dispense an appropriate amount into a disposable dish. Using a microbrush or suitable applicator, quickly apply one thin, uniform coat. Avoid pooling, runs and bubbles. Do not air-blow unless specifically permitted by the validated procedure.

  3. Light-cure under nitrogen protection: Position the coated surface toward the light source in a validated light-curing unit and use the approved nitrogen-protected cycle. If necessary, rotate the restoration and repeat curing from different directions to fully cure shaded areas and undercuts.

  4. Apply a second coat only if required: Confirm that the first coat is completely cured and tack-free before applying a second thin coat. Fully cure it using the approved nitrogen-protected cycle.

  5. Inspect before clinical use: Confirm complete curing and a uniform, tack-free coating. Do not release a restoration with tackiness, bubbles, cracks, delamination, contamination or incomplete curing. Recheck occlusion, proximal contacts, margins and surface integrity.

Surface Repair and Re-glazing

If the surface loses its gloss, becomes contaminated or undergoes clinical adjustment, follow the validated repair procedure: appropriately roughen the repair area, remove debris, dry thoroughly, apply one thin coat and re-cure using the validated nitrogen-protected procedure. Check coating integrity and occlusion.
