Advantages

One-Shade Color Matching

Self-adaptive chameleon effect covers A1–D3 natural tooth shades with a single syringe.

Zero Shade Selection

No shade-matching step means less chair time, simpler inventory and no wasted shades.

Pigment-Free Structural Color

Innovative fillers with optimal light diffraction reflect red-to-yellow tooth spectra for a seamless match.

Permanent Gloss & Easy Polish

Superior polishability delivers a high-gloss, tooth-like opalescent surface with minimal effort.

High Strength, Low Shrinkage

80 wt% / 75 vol% supra-nanometer filler load delivers strong, durable restorations with significantly lower polymerization shrinkage than conventional composites.

High Radiopacity 200% Al

Clearly visible on X-ray for reliable diagnostics and easy follow-up of the restoration.

Universal Versatility

All cavity classes, direct veneers, diastema closure and repair of ceramic restorations.

Fast, Reliable Curing

Each 2 mm increment cures in just 20 seconds at ≥1000 mW/cm² (400–500 nm).

Description

Product Overview

NANOFIL Nova® ONELUX CHROME is a light-cure, radiopaque one-shade universal composite for anterior and posterior restorations. Formulated with a dimethacrylate-based resin matrix and supra-nanometer spherical fillers (< 0.2 µm, total filler content 80 wt% / 75 vol%), it delivers excellent physical properties, permanent gloss and effortless high-gloss polishability.

Powered by structural color technology, ONELUX CHROME reflects the red-to-yellow light spectra of natural teeth, so the material self-adapts to the surrounding tooth color — no pigments, no shade selection. This authentic "chameleon effect" makes every restoration a seamless, invisible match, from A1 to D3.

Structural Color Technology

Human teeth exclusively fall within the red-to-yellow color space, as indicated by the Munsell system. ONELUX CHROME utilizes the structural color principle: precisely designed round hyper-nano fillers reflect red-to-yellow light spectra as light passes through the resin, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the surrounding tooth color. No additional dyes or pigments are required — the composite automatically adjusts its color to the natural tooth tone, ensuring each restoration is a perfect match to the patient's tooth shade. ONELUX CHROME appears opaque-white before curing for higher visibility and easier placement, then becomes the perfect match to the surrounding tooth after curing.

Shade Coverage

ONELUX CHROME covers a broad range of natural tooth shades with a single syringe: A1, A2, A3, A3.5, A4, B1, B2, B3, B4, C1, C2, C3, C4, D2 and D3.

For dark or discolored teeth, use a blocker (e.g. NANOFIL Nova LC UNIVERSAL COMPOSITE BW) to mask stains and dark backgrounds before applying ONELUX CHROME.

Indications / Intended Use

  • Restorations of all cavity classes

  • Direct veneers

  • Diastema closure

  • Repair of ceramic restorations, e.g. veneers, crowns

Clinical Application

  1. Clean the tooth with a fluoride-free polishing paste; isolate with a rubber dam.

  2. Prepare the cavity with minimal tooth reduction; protect pulp-close areas with a pulp capping material (e.g. THERACALM LC).

  3. Bond with a universal adhesive — PERFECT-LINK is recommended (self-etch or with NANOFIL Nova ETCHANT GEL).

  4. For deep/extended cavities, use a base liner (e.g. NANOCEM ULTIMATE or NANOFIL Nova FLOWABLE LC COMPOSITE); small cavities can be restored directly. Apply ONELUX CHROME in layers of max. 2 mm.

  5. Light cure each increment separately for 20 seconds with a polymerization unit (wavelength 400–500 nm, intensity ≥ 1000 mW/cm²); hold the light window as close as possible to the restoration.

  6. Contour with finishing diamonds, flexible grinding discs or carbide burs, then polish to high gloss with polishing discs or brushes.

Note: do not use in combination with eugenol-containing materials, as eugenol inhibits polymerization. Do not store the composite near eugenol-containing products.

Composition

Dimethacrylates, prepolymerized resin, dental glass, silicon dioxide, photo initiators.
